In its latest episode of the World Premiere Series, Ducati has unveiled the Monster SP. The Italian marquee’s latest offering is loaded with fancy tech and features. Let’s take a look at its top 5 highlights.

While the SP looks identical to the standard trim, its paint scheme bumps the overall aesthetics. The red colour with blacked-out parts makes for a good contrast. It features the same projector LED headlamp with an LED DRL around it. Not to mention, Ducati also offers a rear seat cowl with the SP.

Apart from LED illumination, Ducati has loaded the Monster SP with a 4.3-inch TFT display, a launch control system, a USB socket, a lithium-ion battery, riding modes, cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, power modes, and a quickshifter as well.

It shares the engine – 973cc twin-cylinder motor– with the standard bike without any tweaks. The output is rated at 111bhp and 93Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and sits in an aluminum frame. Not to mention, it even gets a Termignoni exhaust.

Ducati has equipped the Monster SP with Ohlins fully adjustable NIX 43mm front USD forks and an Ohlins monoshock. The braking hardware comes from Brembo in the form of twin 320mm front discs and Brembo Monobloc calipers. Meanwhile, the rear end gets a single 245mm disc. The setup is mounted on 17-inch cast alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres.

Expected Price and Launch Timeline

Currently, the standard Ducati Monster is priced at Rs 12,49,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). You can expect the SP trim to cost a few lakh rupees more and be launched in the country in early 2023.
