ASUS unveils ROG Strix 4K HDMI 2.1 gaming monitor, up to 160Hz refresh rate with overclocking - VideoCardz.com

The Taiwanese company is expanding their HDMI 2.1 gaming monitor portfolio with a new model called XG32UQ.

This is a 32-inch monitor with 4K resolution that supports HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 standards. By default, this monitor offers up to 120 Hz refresh, but it can be further overclocked to 160 Hz. The XG32UQ features a fast IPS panel with 1 ms (Grey-To-Grey) response time. It has DisplayHDR 600 certification with typical peak brightness of 450 nits and up to 600 nits in HDR mode.

This monitor is certified for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and it is also G-Sync Compatible. Interestingly it is not equipped with USB Type-C connector, and there is no KVM functionality available on this monitor either. Such features are usually available on a higher-end monitor such as this.It does however have USB Gen1 (5 Gbps) Type-B connector and Gen 1 Type-A.

The monitor is packed with gaming features, such as extreme motion blur or Game Plus (which adds OSD with crosshair or FPS counter). It is a factory calibrated panel with Color Accuracy  of △E< 2.

ASUS did not disclose any pricing info on XG32UQ yet. There is no release date either, but according to ASUS it should become available in the third quarter. Further details are on this monitor are available on the official website.
